11 Business Productivity Hack Apps for Busy Business Owners

11 business productivity apps for business entrepreneurs

One of the biggest things once you’ve started running your business, is keeping on top of all the tasks that come with owning a business.

All the likes on IG posts where you boast about being a ‘Boss Chick’ or a ‘Girl Boss’ won’t help you when it comes to maintaining and growing your business.

From suppliers to customers, to new social media platforms, the need to consistently be on top of things can get tough even if you have an assistant or a team. I know for me, it was a great help having support, but managing that support is a different skill and is a beast of its own (frantically recalling everything from my Human Resources degree helped a tiny bit).

I did, however, figure out how to manage to use tools online to save me time, energy and resources (aka Money).

Here are 11 productivity hacks I use to manage and grow my online business and team:

  1. Dropbox

Dropbox can make everything so easy! It lets you create new files, upload photos, scan documents, and most importantly, share your files. You can get Dropbox links to share with your customers, or sync with your different devices – be it your desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone!

  1. Trello

Trello is a great task management tool which makes collaboration really easy and fun. It can also help with organizing your personal tasks and to-dos to get a lot of things done and for you to have a bird’s eye view of all your tasks. It’s also very visually appealing, which makes organizing really fun and productive!

  1. Google Docs

Collaborating online has never been easier with Google Docs. You can track changes real time. You can even see the other person typing! It can also be a great storage area for all your documents. The positives about Google Docs is that you can use it to sync across all devices and that it gives you the option to work on your files offline so you can always work on the

  1. iOS notes

For quick ideas and notes, iOS provides a good default app on your iPhone or iPad. Photos can be added, and the new update gives you a lot more options or the formatting. You can sync with all of our iCloud devices, including your Mac if you use one. The most recent update is collaborating on with notes. Share your notes with your team or your assistant easily

  1. Zapier

Zapier connects all of your productivity apps to automate workflows! It makes everything really easy for you as it compiles all your organizational applications for you to focus on your most important work.

  1. MailChimp

MailChimp allows for better and easier e-mail marketing to your customers. You can focus more on your business and worry less about your e-mail campaigns. MailChimp will do that for you! It comes with a lot of different templates for your campaigns, all you have to do is fill everything in according to your business needs.

  1. Hootsuite

Hootsuite provides a single platform for all your different social media accounts. This app makes it so easy to manage a ton of different accounts. It also gives you social media analytics reports so you know results of your campaigns!

  1. SelfControl

The SelfControl app allows you to block certain websites for a certain amount of time. This is a more personal app that controls your behavior so that you can get rid of distractions and focus on your business!

  1. Asana

Asana was made to improve team productivity. It will compile all the tasks of the team into one spot, making it easier to assign roles to different persons!

  1. Mint

This app can be for your own personal use but you can also set up an account for business! Mint is a budget app in which you can assign where your money goes in your business. It will then generate a budget, and track it for you!

  1. Toggl

If you’re struggling with time management, this app is for you. Simply add your tasks and click the “Toggl” button to signify the start of you working on the task. It’s a very simple and easy way to keep track of the time it takes you to complete certain tasks. It also allows you to look at reports and see how much time you spent on different projects throughout the week!

There are a lot of other productivity websites and apps out there to help you in growing your business, but keep in mind that productivity always boils down to self-discipline! It’s your business and your life, after all, and the only one who can control your decisions is yourself.
