So who needs PR or a website when you have Twitter???
Mariah announced that her new single is called ‘Obssessed’ and it will be hitting radio next week…an uptempo number i think, that’s how she normally starts the launch of a new album (also to come in September).

Amerie also showed the world her new video on 106& Park
Find more videos like this on The Celebrity Network
Trying to search for the video to embed is almost impossible then i read this over at BrownSista.com , so please support Amerie:
I went to the sista’s official online website and it is old and hasn’t been updated in over two years. It is also still under the control of the label that dropped her- Columbia. So off I went to check out Def Jam- Amerie’s new record label. Sadly, she isn’t even mentioned on their website.
Not so much as a page was devoted to the singer and her video was nowhere to be found on the site as well. How is a singer going to be successful if her own record label doesn’t so much as acknowledge her existence?

Hiya, thanks for your great work on your blog! Hope your trip to Africa was fab fab fab!!!
The music industry is in turmoil, and that’s why so many artists are not doing as well as they could because the labels are not spending the money or the “magic formula” just doesn’t work any more. Of course it doesn’t we are in a digital, personalised, on-demand media environment.
Come on Def Jam, we know you’ve got work to do with Jay-Z deal and all that but Amerie is talent that should have done better. Heck I’ll do her marketing if they gave me the budget!!!
Thanks Desiree it was amazing, hopefully the pics will be uploaded soon will send a link on Twitter.
On the music issue…i totally agree with you 100%
She is a talent and to me she has the whole package…but to not even update the website or anything…that’s just asking for failure isn’t it?
