Maybe you never thought cakes could make customers line up like they were waiting for the new iPad release, but they can and they do at DC’s Georgetown Cupcakes.

Due to it’s huge success the famous bakery even has it’s own reality show on TLC, showing viewers the in’s and outs of running GC with the owners who just happen to be sisters Sophia LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis.

I love promoting female success in business and that anything truly is possible. Their first small store opened on February 14th 2008 and three years later they’ve expanded while still keeping the qualities of their first bakery that made them a DC resident & celebrity favourite. Rumour has it that their revenue is between $1.5 – $2 million which could easily be an under value since they’ve been on the Oprah Show and ship freshly baked cupcakes nationwide.
